Some people see withering spring bulbs as an eyesore. If it were up to them,
they’d get out the pruning shears straightaway and remove such a sight.
Try, however, to wait it out for just a couple of weeks. After all, the
withering leaves are serving an important function until they turn really brown.
As they wither, they are still absorbing energy from the sun to feed the
bulbs beneath the soil. If you remove the leaves straightaway, you greatly
reduce the chances of a second flowering
period!
