The month of November is just the time to start on that first round of tidying up the garden.
For some plants, a covering of leaves offers good protection. The danger in
this, however, is that if you fail to remove it early enough in the spring, the
earliest flower bulbs may be hindered by these leaves and other debris.
For this reason, go through the garden and remove excess leaves and plant debris
that serve no purpose.
The lawn in particular should be free of
leaves!
